Stage 5: Falla and Klæbo wins to the standing ovations of the Trondheim crowd in Granåsen

Once again Norway was at the top during Saturday's classic sprint in Trondheim. Maiken Caspersen Falla and Johannes Høsflot Klæbo finished first in today’s sprint to a sea of Norwegian flags and cheering from the spectators.

Maiken Caspersen Falla took control of the final heat in the last climb, and although she was challenged by Swedish Jonna Sundling, she finished strong and won the fifth stage of Ski Tour 2020 ahead of Jonna Sundling (2nd) and Nadine Fähndrich from Switzerland who ranked 3rd Fähndrich celebrates her first Sprint World Cup podium ever.

In the men´s final heat it was Johannes Høsflot Klæbo who took control and won the sprint stage in his own hometown and received the ovations of the Trondheim crowd, ahead of Pål Golberg (2nd) and Erik Valnes(3rd) who secured another triple on the podium for the Norway.
